WhatsApp Mobile App Introduces Video Calling FeatureSunny Dhanoe
The Popular Chat Mobile App WhatsApp is all set to introduce its most-requested feature of Video Calls.
WhatsApp brough a new revolution in mobile application development with it’s launch in January 2010. Then on it have periodically introduced many useful features for it’s clients. After the successful launch of free voice calls the chat app will soon support free video calling. As per the recent company announcement the new feature will soon come as an app update allowing users to have a one-to-one video calls, in addition to voice calls and text chats. In the current digital market mobile app are becoming increasingly important for any business as compared to a website and thus mobile apps are more important for your business than a website.
The video calling after the feature is live, will be located in the same place as voice calls under the phone icon. For now there will be no group voice calls but in future we believe the company can launch that feature too. This new feature will give tough competition to the already voice calling dominating apps like Skype, Viber & IMO. WhatsApp mobile app team announced that video calling has always been the most requested feature but they couldn’t roll it due to some technical challanges in some older devices and with people using slow internet connections.
“We want to make these features available to everyone, not just those who can afford the most expensive new phones or live in countries with the best cellular networks,” the company said in a blog post.
WhatsApp Video calling will be mainly focused for people particularly residing in countries like India & Brazil where the company have a huge user base of millions who rely on daily communication through the chat app.
